Description Norma® Blue by Schmincke are the highest quality  water-soluble oil paints  for artists. They do not contain preservatives, so they are friendly to allergy sufferers. They are also  completely vegan  and  safe for the environment . The formula is based on vegetable oils, without the use of cobalt, cadmium and zinc oxide pigments. Norma paints enable almost  odourless painting . Because you don’t have to use solvents, they are perfect for indoor painting and teaching purposes. The ecological recipe  includes the use of many natural, sustainable raw materials. High-quality, pure  vegetable oil combinations  ensure good paint adhesion to the substrate, optimal pigment absorption and  reduced yellowing tendency . Selected classic and newest pigments used in the highest concentration guarantee maximum speed of distribution and exceptional brightness and shine of all colours. Norma® Blue paint has a balanced,  creamy-buttery consistency , which ensures the best painting properties and optimal brush and spatula marks. Moreover, optimisation of the recipe causes  the paints to dry evenly and in a shorter time , which guarantees a more shiny and durable surface. Norma® Blue oil paints can be mixed and combined with Schmincke oil paints (MUSSINI®, AKADEMIE® Oil color and College® Oil). At a mixing ratio of 4:1, the miscibility of Norma Blue with water will be maintained. Five dedicated media have also been created that make painting with Norma® Blue oil paints even more enjoyable. They have the effect of accelerating or delaying the drying time, increase gloss and glassiness and are suitable as a diluent. The paints can also be used with classic oil painting media, but then they lose their ability to dissolve in water. Suitable painting surfaces for water-soluble oil paints include: canvases, painting boards, acrylic/oil paper, wood and all other clean, degreased surfaces (preferably primed with acrylic paint or a special painting primer). After using Norma® Blue, brushes, spatulas and painting palettes simply need to be cleaned with water and a little soap.
